Who we are? Un2Others Ministries, is an outreach of Rendezvous Toronto, which provides care packages to non-profit organizations such as homeless shelters, clinics and other organizations providing services to those less fortunate in our community. Our vision is to minister to the needs of others by bringing diverse people together for a common goal for the common good, giving others a beneficial purpose in their lives, developing new relationships, and providing for the marginalized in our community and beyond. Un2Others is a ministry dedicated to serving the marginalized throughout the city of Toronto. This year we gave over 500 hygiene and 1000 lbs of food bags to charities including: Scott Mission, Adam House for new immigrants, Breakaway Harm Reduction, and Homes First Society - Savard’s Women’s Shelter and The Salvation Army.
What we do? Un2Others Ministries provides care packages, similar to the one pictured below, including high quality products whenever possible to all of our receiving clients. The care packages consist of every day necessities for men, women, children or babies. Additionally, we hold door-to-door community canned food drives collecting food donations for our cares bags and for local food banks around the city.
How we do it? Volunteers assemble packages at a central location for delivery by Un2Others Ministries at no cost to the receiving organization. Un2Others Ministries, via donations and grants covers all costs incurred in preparation and delivery of the packages. If we receive a grant, 100% of the money will be used to purchase full size hygiene and food items at local dollar stores. It cost approximately $1,250 to purchase enough items we will need to fill 500 bags.
When we do it? We do at least four assembly parties a year about one every three months. It can be up to six times a year depending on funding, man power and need. These assembly parties are usually proceeded by a canned food drive.
